With how seamless that transition is, I’d say this is right up there as one of the best 20+ year remakes ever. I jumped right into this from having played so much of the original Master of Magic and just from that knowledge I’ve got how basically everything works and operates down, even with some minor changes. There have been some minor changes here and there, some good some bad and some a combination of both, but overall I think the good outweighs the bad. My experience so far is that this is absolutely a Master of Magic remake delivered as promised.
